Extreme Precipitation Event Analysis for the Indian Subcontinent
Description
This deposit contains the complete codebase and accompanying dataset used in the research study titled "Spatiotemporal Dynamics of Moisture Influx and Their Role in Precipitation Extremes: A Study of December 2023 in Kayalpattinam", under review in the Atmospheric Research journal. The aim of this work is to conduct a diagnostic study to comprehend the physical mechanisms and moisture transport pathways that led to the occurrence of extreme precipitation events in the coastal town of Kayalpattinam, Tamil Nadu, India. The work provides a holistic approach to understanding the physical processes behind the deluge.
