COMMON NAME(S): Branched Ermine.

SYNONYM(S): Eutaenia scapulosa Wallengren, 1875; Caligula wallengreni Aurivillius, 1879; Conchylia smithii Holland, 1897; Lacydes gracilis Butler, 1898; Amsacta impia Strand, 1909a.

IUCN STATUS: Not Evaluated (NE).

DISTRIBUTION: Angola, Botswana, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Kenya, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe.

LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: Chisamba and Serenje, in Central Province; Luanshya, in Copperbelt Province; Kafue and Lusaka, in Lusaka Province.

LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): According to the African Moths (2019) webpage, larval foodplants of this taxon include the flat-leaved African Hyacinth, Ledebouria ovatifolia (Baker) Jessop (Asparagaceae).
