Description
Xanthisthisa niveifrons (Prout, 1922c)
COMMON NAME(S): White headed thorn.
SYNONYM(S): None.
IUCN STATUS: Not Evaluated (NE).
DISTRIBUTION: Angola, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: Kitwe in Copperbelt Province; Lusaka and Kafue in Lusaka Province.
LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Pinhey (1975) reports that a yet to be identified Cupressaceae species, Cupressus sp., and a Pinaceae species, Pinus sp., are hot plants of the taxon.
