Description

Hydrometra stagnorum (Linnaeus, 1758)

is a true bug species which has an important ecological value as it controls the mosquito abundance by feeding on their larvae. The species inhabits vegetated margins in watercourses with slow currents, ditches and ponds (Wróblewski 1980).
