Description
These datasets are a part of the QUantifying Interocean fluxes in the Cape Cauldron Hotspot of Eddy kinetic energy (QUICCHE) project, and were collected during the field campaign in 2023.
Seaglider SG675 (SG675.zip)
This dataset contains the temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen, fluorescence, and backscatter profiles from a Seaglider (SG675), which was deployed at the in the Agulhas retroflection area from 22 March 2023, to 23 May 2023. The raw data has been processed to L1 by applying the Kongsberg Seaglider Basestation V3 code following the methods of Garau et al. (2011) - Thermal Lag Correction on Slocum CTD Glider.
Sailbuoy Kringla (SBK_QUICCHE_2023.nc)This dataset contains atmospheric and oceanic observations of wind speed, air and sea temperature, salinity, and currents. The Sailbuoy was deployed at the in the Agulhas retroflection area from 6 March 2023, to 23 May 2023. The ADCP data were processed using Edholm, J. M., du Plessis, M., & Swart, S. (2022) - Sailbuoy processing (v1.0.0)
Sailbuoy PimPim (SBPP_QUICCHE_2023.nc)
This dataset contains atmospheric and oceanic observations of wind speed, air and sea temperature, salinity, and currents. The Sailbuoy was deployed twice in the Agulhas retroflection area, first a one day mission, between 9-10 March, and secondly from 22 March 2023, to 23 May 2023. The ADCP data were processed using Edholm, J. M., du Plessis, M., & Swart, S. (2022) - Sailbuoy processing (v1.0.0).
