Leonessa: A Bio-Entropy Chronometer for Lunar Synchronization

Leonessa is a speculative chronometric artifact designed for lunar habitats. It uses sealed biological material—specifically honey—as a passive entropy substrate. By tracking measurable chemical changes (such as HMF accumulation and enzyme decay) with a spectrometer over time, Leonessa functions as a symbolic and scientific timekeeping system synchronized with Earth UTC. The system is modular, radiation-resilient, and inspired by lunar myth, poetic entropy, and principles of relativity. This document includes design logic, calibration modeling, symbolic rationale, and collaborative contributions from generative AI systems. It is intended as a prototype for cultural and temporal artifacts deployed in the Artemis lunar era and beyond.

This work was developed with the assistance of AI tools, including WolframAlpha, to support calculations, formatting, and language refinement.

Due to prior medical treatment (ECT) and dyslexia, I experience short-term memory and visual processing limitations. The majority of this work was composed through dictation and reviewed via auditory recall systems, rather than traditional visual editing. À la suite d’un traitement médical antérieur (ECT) et en raison d’une dyslexie, je présente des limitations de mémoire à court terme et de traitement visuel. La majorité de ce travail a été dictée et révisée à l’aide de systèmes de rappel auditif, plutôt que par une relecture visuelle traditionnelle. Ces outils ont été utilisés au service de la précision, et non de l’automatisation.
