The Faculty of Management at the University of Primorska hosted a highly impactful workshop and policy roundtable on November 14, 2024. This event, part of the AGRIGEP project, brought together key stakeholders to discuss gender equality and women's empowerment in higher education and broader societal frameworks.
Event Overview
The roundtable, facilitated by Dr. Maxime Forest of Yellow Window, featured distinguished speakers, including:
- Dr. Kristina Žagar Soderžnik (President of the Commission for Equal Opportunities in Science, Slovenia),
- Dr. Boris Jerman (Head of Legal Department, Port of Koper, Slovenia),
- Dr. Aurelia Calabrò (Director, Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment Division at UNIDO),
- Dr. Janez Rogelj (Slovenian Ministry of Economy, Tourism, and Sport), and
- Nadia Cigale (Head of the Slovenian-Cameroon Business Club).
Each speaker brought unique insights, sharing success stories and challenges faced while promoting gender equality in their respective sectors. Discussions emphasized the critical role of universities in achieving sustainable development goals and fostering inclusive policies.
