Description
One of the important components of professional communicative competence is the pragmatic component. This component represents the student's ability to select and properly use language tools in a manner appropriate to real communicative situations in the context of professional speech. Pragmatics is concerned with the social and functional aspects of language, and it is within ESP (English for Specific Purposes) that this component is particularly relevant. In this article, the basics of the correct use of language tools in the context of professional speech of the development of the pragmatic component are considered on the example of students studying in the direction of geography.
