SUSTENTABILIDADE EM FESTIVAIS REGIONAIS: UMA ANÁLISE DA FESTA DO AIPIM NO RIO DE JANEIRO

RESUMO

Este estudo investiga o impacto das festas regionais na valorização da cidade de Nova Iguaçu, Rio de Janeiro, por meio de suas vocações territoriais. O objetivo da pesquisa foi analisar um festival regional, conhecido como Festa do Aipim, a partir de diferentes perspectivas. A amostragem foi não probabilística e intencional e foram aplicadas entrevistas abertas semiestruturadas a 16 pessoas envolvidas de alguma forma com o evento. A pesquisa seguiu o caminho qualitativo e permitiu captar as percepções dos diversos atores sociais envolvidos, revelando como a festa pode contribuir para fomentar a sustentabilidade, fortalecer a identidade local e promover o desenvolvimento econômico, social e cultural da região. Como resultado, concluiu-se que a festa desempenha um papel importante na promoção da sustentabilidade e na valorização e preservação das identidades regionais.

ABSTRACT 

This study investigates the impact of regional festivals on the valorization of the city of Nova Iguaçu, Rio de Janeiro, through its territorial vocations. The objective of the research was to analyze a regional festival, known as Festa do Aipim, from different perspectives. The sampling was non-probabilistic intentional and applied semi-structured open interviews to 16 people involved in some way with the event. The research followed the qualitative route and allowed to capture the perceptions of the various social actors involved, revealing how the festival can contribute to foster sustainability, strengthen local identity and promote the economic, social and cultural development of the region. As a result, it was concluded that the festival plays an important role in promoting sustainability and in valuing and preserving regional identities.
