El presente estudio permite comprender a través de la revisión bibliográfica el encuentro temático de la relación de filosofía y música desde la experiencia filosófica en Schopenhauer. El objetivo es proponer una filosofía de la experiencia estética con énfasis en la música partiendo de los postulados del filósofo Arthur Schopenhauer. El artículo se divide en cuatro apartados temáticos. En el primero se aborda la cercanía que Schopenhauer tuvo con la música, como un erudito conocedor y a la vez como un músico empírico, que tocaba la flauta con maestría. El segundo trabaja en la metafísica y la música desde el pensamiento de nuestro autor, concibiendo que la música es la vía a la verdad. Sigue el tercero, que, desde la metafísica, se involucra una ética fundada en la experiencia estética. Por último, el cuarto, manifiesta el legado estético de Schopenhauer en grandes músicos y filósofos de la historia como Wagner, Tchaikovsky, Mahler; por el lado de los filósofos tenemos a Nietzsche, Mainländer y Cioran. El enfoque será en la influencia filosófica de Wagner en muchas de sus composiciones, debido a la influencia de Schopenhauer. Finalmente, se concluye que la música como experiencia metafísica y expresión espiritual es también una ética en pro de mejorar la condición humana. El aporte académico del artículo se fundamenta más en un criterio filosófico sobre la libre reflexión que acoge un asunto de importancia para la humanidad como es la música.
Abstract
The present study allows to understand through the bibliographical review the thematic encounter of the relationship between philosophy and music from the philosophical experience in Schopenhauer. The objective is to propose a philosophy of aesthetic experience with emphasis on music based on the postulates of the philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer. The article is divided into four thematic sections. The first deals with the closeness that Schopenhauer had with music, as a knowledgeable scholar and at the same time as an empirical musician, who played the flute with mastery. The second one works on metaphysics and music from the thought of our author, conceiving music as the way to truth. The third follows, which, from metaphysics, involves an ethics based on the aesthetic experience. Finally, the fourth, manifests the aesthetic legacy of Schopenhauer in great musicians and philosophers of history such as Wagner, Tchaikovsky, Mahler; on the side of the philosophers we have Nietzsche, Mainländer and Cioran. The focus will be on the philosophical influence of Wagner in many of his compositions, due to the influence of Schopenhauer. Finally, it is concluded that music as a metaphysical experience and spiritual expression is also an ethic for the betterment of the human condition. The academic contribution of the article is based more on a philosophical criterion on the free reflection that embraces a matter of importance for humanity such as music.
