Universal Clock Field Theory
Description
We present Universal Clock Field Theory (UCFT), a 4D quantum field theory in which gravity, gauge interactions, chiral matter, and cosmic-string solutions arise dynamically from internal symmetry breaking. Defined by a nonlinear sigma model of 32 real scalar fields (clock fields) on the coset E_6 / (SO(10) x U(1)), UCFT induces gravity via Sakharov's mechanism and supports stable solitonic cosmic strings at high energies. These strings carry an emergent 2D worldsheet conformal field theory with affine SO(10) x U(1) symmetry, whose excitation spectrum and anomaly inflow structure match those of the heterotic string. Using a Z_5 quotient of the quintic Calabi-Yau as an explicit example, we establish a one-to-one correspondence between the 32 unfixed moduli of stabilized heterotic compactification and the UCFT clock fields. We propose that the universe originates from a maximally symmetric algebraic phase described by the exceptional Jordan algebra J_3(O), from which spacetime, gauge structure, and gravity emerge through symmetry breaking. UCFT thus provides a structurally complete, anomaly-free, and observationally testable 4D framework that may serve as a viable candidate for a unified theory of everything.
