Robotic Process Automation for Intelligent Business Process Management
Authors/Creators
Description
Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is a technology that transformed the world in the
realm of Business Process Management (BPM), allowing organizations to automate routine
work, enhance business process performance, and cut costs. The essay below describes how
RPA, coupled with intelligent BPM, will transform business processes through the use of RPA,
artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML). With the incorporation of cognitive
automation, smart BPM not only automates processes but also improves decision-making,
decreases errors, and increases customer satisfaction. The paper also briefly discusses other
applications of RPA in BPM in finance, HR, customer care, and supply chain management. The
paper also discusses organizational implementation challenges of RPA, e.g., technical
integration, data privacy, and workers' resistance. The article concludes on a positive note for
RPA in BPM's future with expectations of what newer technology must do to improve and
become more intelligent, leaner, and more rapid business processes.
