Description

Original MSc dissertation submitted in August 2022 as part of the Master in Advanced Construction Technologies & BIM programme at University of Strathclyde.
This version is shared in its original form, without amendments, to preserve academic integrity. The study investigates how the absence or poor definition of Information Requirements (IRs) impacts the delivery of BIM data for Facilities Management. It includes a practical BIM Audit of the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS) project, analysing how real project data aligns or fails to align with expected BIM deliverables.

The research provides clear, evidence based recommendations to improve client-side documentation, project setup, and alignment with ISO 19650 standards for future digital handovers.
