SLSS-3D: A 3D Dataset of Structured Light Scanned Shoeprints

SLSS-3D is a 3D dataset of real-world shoeprints captured using structured light scanning technology. It contains high-resolution point cloud data representing detailed tread patterns of various shoe types collected under controlled conditions. The dataset aims to support research in forensic science, 3D pattern recognition, shoeprint matching, and point cloud analysis.

Each sample in the dataset includes:

• 3D point cloud of a full shoeprint in .xyz format

• Preview image of the point cloud for quick browsing

All data were collected using a custom-built structured light scanning device, ensuring high geometric fidelity and reproducibility.

Researchers are welcome to use this dataset for academic purposes under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. Proper citation is required in all publications and derivative works.
