Mapping the State of the Art of Climate Services Standardization from a Multi-Level Governance Perspective (MLG)

This deliverable aims to gain a deeper understanding of the needs related to climate services and their standardization from a governance perspective. We focused on stakeholders at the national, regional, and local levels across Europe, seeking to learn about their experiences and requirements for integrating climate-related information into their daily activities. Our audience provided valuable insights into the challenges and barriers they face when using climate information in governance and policy making and how standards would be helpful. The engagement with our primary target group was facilitated through three key intervention methods: (1) Interviews at national, regional, and local governance levels across Europe, (2) survey, and (3) a roundtable discussion at the Climateurope2 festival in Venice (March 2024), using the fishbowl method.
