WimpTools: A Graph-Theoretical R Toolbox for Modeling Psychological Change
Authors/Creators
Description
WimpTools is a free and open-source R package designed to model and analyze psychological change within the framework of Personal Construct Theory. It operationalizes Weigthed Implication Grids (WimpGrids) as weighted directed networks, allowing researchers and practitioners to explore the hierarchical structure, centrality, and conflicts among personal constructs. The package introduces novel graph-theoretical metrics to assess the resistance to change and the dynamics of personal meaning systems. This toolbox aims to advance the empirical study of psychological change by providing standardized, mathematically grounded tools for ideographic analysis.
