Land use and land cover samples for the municipality of Porto Velho, Rondônia state (RO)

Description

Land use and land cover samples from 2000-2024 for the municipality of Porto Velho, Rondônia state (RO), Northern Brazil. The images and time series were collected from using the Temporal Vegetation Analysis System (SATVeg) platform, developed by the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (EMBRAPA), as the primary tool. A total of 90 samples were obtained, with 30 corresponding to croplands (Agriculture), 30 to forestlands (Forest), and 30 to pasturelands (Pasture). The methodology is detailed in an article which is currently in press. The dataset is organized into folders, where each sample includes two types of files: an image file (.png) representing the NDVI time series graph and a spreadsheet (.xls) containing information on the location and temporal behavior of the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI).
