Mass as an Emergent Property of Spacetime

Description

Mass has historically been considered an intrinsic property of matter. However, modern theories suggest that it may emerge from more fundamental principles, such as quantum gravity and the thermodynamics of spacetime. Lucy's formula introduces a relationship that links mass to the fundamental parameters: energy, temperature and gravitational entropy thanks to the dielectric constant of the vacuum.
