Description
Endecatomus rugosus (Randall, 1838)
Collection information.
USA: Georgia: Clarke Co.: six individuals from two sites. Caught in flight trap from 9 March – 9 April 2020.
Distribution.
Eastern North America.
Saproxylic habits.
Larvae develop within the shelf fungus Fuscoporia gilva (Schwein.) T. Wagner and M. Fisch. (Hymenochaetaceae) (Fisher 1950; Crowson 1961); also emerged from living polypores of Fomes fomentarius (L.) Fr. (Polyporaceae) (Matthewman and Pielou 1971).
