Description
Trichosia (Trichosia) lengersdorfi Heller, Köhler & Menzel, 2016
Material examined.
JAPAN • 1 ♂; Honshu, Hyogo Pref., Yabu, Mt. Hyounosen, mixed forest dominated by Fagus crenata and bamboo grasses; 35°21'N, 134°31'E; alt. 1200 m; 28 Sept. 1995; M. Jaschhof and T. Yagi leg., sweep-net; SDEI.
Remarks.
This species is known from Europe and China (Heller et al. 2016), and is recorded here from Japan for the first time. This species resembles T. caudata, but is distinguished from it by the condition of macrotrichia on wing membrane and the characters of the male gonostylus (see key to the Japanese species). A male of T. lengersdorfi and a male of T. caudata were collected sympatrically in this study.
