Dicranum campylophyllum Taylor, London J. Bot. 7: 281. 1848 ≡ Aongstroemia campylophylla (Taylor) Müll.Hal., Syn. Musc. Frond. 2: 608. 1851 ≡ Anisothecium campylophyllum (Taylor) Mitt., J. Linn. Soc. Bot. 12: 40. 1869.

Type:— Ecuador. Pichincha. 8th Aug. 1847, Prof. W. Jameson s.n. [Lectotype: FH- (hb. Taylor), selected by Ochyra et al. 2008; isolectotype: BM- (hb. Wilson!)].

= Aongstroemia rufipes Müll.Hal., Linnaea 43: 388. 1882. ≡ Anisothecium rufipes (Müll.Hal.) Dusén, Rep. Princeton Univ. Exp. Patagonia, Bot. 8(3): 67. 1903. Type:— Argentina. Tucumán. Tafí, Apr 1873, P. G. Lorentz s.n. [Lectotype: JE04000569!, selected here (Fig. 1, 2); isolectotypes: JE04000567!, JE04000568!], syn. nov.
