Environmental pollution is a major issue that has the potential to significantly affect human population health. This article analyzes the effects of environmental pollution from the viewpoints of air pollution, water pollution, land and soil waste pollution, and how it affects human and animal health. The information about environment pollution and human health was gathered and collated by carefully going over numerous published research articles from internationally renowned journals and pertinent books. A major contributor to general pollution is rapid industrialization and the development of modern technology. There is particular concern about the pollution caused by effluents, gases, heavy metals, industrial contaminants and particulate emissions, which significantly affect the health of both livestock and man. Reciprocally, pollutants from the livestock system can affect the atmosphere, water and the food chain. Thus, there is a need to address these problems at various levels. The present review has been undertaken to determine the impact of different elements in the environment that cause pollution in animals and human beings and its impact on their health.
