Description

The dataset contains global gridded data of significant wave height (SWH) in equal latitude and longitude. This data is constructed by integrating significant wave height data from numerical wave models with remote sensing observations from global ocean dynamic satellites. The temporal resolution is 6 hours, and the spatial resolution is 0.25°, with global coverage. The satellites integrated include the HY2B, HY2C, and HY2D radar altimeters from China's HY-2 series satellites, the wave spectrometer along-track observations from the China-France Oceanography Satellite (CFOSAT), and the along-track observations from the Jason-3 and SARAL radar altimeters. The fusion time window is ±1 hour, with an influence spatial radius of 300 km. The dataset file also provides gridded significant wave height data both before and after the fusion of satellite observations, with variable names SWH_Model and SWH_SAT_Model, respectively.
