Ireland Residential Environmental and Energy datasets - Eastern and Western Regions

Description

This repository contains two datasets related to indoor environmental quality and energy consumption monitoring.

The first dataset consists of sensor readings collected from an apartment in Eastern Ireland between January 11, 2025, and January 22, 2025. It includes measurements from Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) sensors and electricity monitoring sensors, capturing data on temperature, humidity, CO₂ levels, and power consumption from electrical circuits. Additionally, outdoor temperature and wet bulb temperature data from a nearby weather station are incorporated to provide a broader environmental perspective.

The second dataset contains sensor readings from a 229m³ home in Western Ireland, recorded between October 17, 2022, and November 10, 2022. It includes information on indoor and outdoor environmental conditions, energy consumption, and heat pump operation. Like the first dataset, outdoor temperature and wet bulb temperature data from a nearby weather station are included to enhance the analysis of environmental influences.

This data has been minimised, anonymised and shared in open format as part of the PREDICT open access database on Irish housing, as a collaboration between the above listed authors and TU Dublin (Dr. Gerard Obasi, Dr. Ciara Ahern and Dr. Aimee Byrne), funded under The SEAI National Energy Research Development and Demonstration (RD&D) Funding Programme 23/RDD/1046
