Description

Our poster aims to introduce an exploratory interface for accessing bio-bibliographical data of 344 GDR authors who studied at the Institut für Literatur ‘Johannes R. Becher’ in Leipzig. Developed within the project "Forschungsplattform Literarisches Feld DDR," the interface offers a dashboard with synchronized charts that allow users to interactively explore the dataset. User feedback was collected through semi-structured user tests, which highlighted challenges in the development of our exploratory tool. Addressing these insights, the development iterations will incorporate level-structured interaction styles and tailored approaches to meet diverse user needs and experience levels. Our poster for DHd 2025 will detail this iterative development process, emphasizing the importance of continuous user engagement in creating effective digital humanities tools in collaboration between literature experts and computer scientists.
