TEACHING PHONOLOGICAL COMPETENCE THROUGH GAMES AND ACTIVITIES IN PRIMARY SCHOOL
Authors/Creators
Description
Phonological competence, the ability to recognize and manipulate sounds in spoken language, is a critical aspect of early language acquisition. In primary schools, developing phonological awareness is foundational to successful reading and writing skills. Traditional teaching methods are often limited in engaging students in active learning. This article explores the effectiveness of using games and interactive activities in teaching phonological competence to primary school students. By integrating these methods, students can engage more actively, improving their ability to identify, differentiate, and manipulate sounds in words.
