МОДЕЛИРОВАНИЕ И СИСТЕМНОЕ ОПИСАНИЕ КОНЦЕПТА В ЯЗЫКОВОЙ КАРТИНЕ МИРА (НА МАТЕРИАЛЕ КОНЦЕПТА «ХИТРОСТЬ»)

Concept investigation is one of the most important areas of problem-based research in cultural linguistics. This article is devoted to modelling and system description of the concept in the language world picture. The material is Russian monolingual and phrase dictionaries, dictionaries of Russian proverbs and sayings. The study is based on the algorithm that assumes: choose lexeme-name of a concept; define concept’s differential features using data from linguistic dictionaries, including etymological ones; study the logical and semasiological structure of the lexical-semantic field of the concept name; analyse the proverbial sayings in which the concept is represented.

The concept of “khitrost” is one of the communicative-relevant and significant concepts in the Russian language world picture. In the lexical and phraseological system of Russian language the investigated concept is implemented in semantics of 164 lexemes, 43 phraseological units and 148 the proverbial sayings. The linguistic implementation of concept of “khitrost” occurs through characteristics of a person or an object. Native speakers pay attention to different types of quality cunning which are peculiar to a person, which abstract concepts are associated with this quality, which techniques are based on cunning and who is the bearer of this quality.

The concept-image “khitrost” includes a number of imaginative representations: personification of tricks (personality with its own characteristics: a foe, a rogue, a thief; representative of the other world, the forces of evil: hell, demon, famously, the devil), zoomorphologization of tricks (animal: fox, fox and wolf, wolf, beast, snake, goose, sheep, dog, cat, mouse, ox, beaver, already, bird, magpie, nightingale, sparrow, pigeon, fish, pike, insects, bee, wasp, fly), materialization (reification) of tricks: elm, lump, pancake, long mantle, hut, dodging, wind, tail.
