Cet article explore en profondeur le concept d'accompagnement en formation professionnelle, en partant de ses racines étymologiques et sémantiques pour analyser ses différentes dimensions, objectifs et pratiques. Il met en évidence la complexité de la relation d'accompagnement, les tensions entre les exigences institutionnelles et l'autonomie de l'apprenant, ainsi que les postures que doivent adopter les accompagnateurs. L'article présente également un panorama des différents modèles et formes d'accompagnement, allant du tutorat au mentorat en passant par le coaching et le counseling, soulignant leurs spécificités et leurs complémentarités. En conclusion, il souligne l'importance de l'accompagnement comme un processus transformateur qui favorise l'autonomie, la responsabilisation et la socialisation des apprenants.

Abstract :

This article provides an in-depth exploration of the concept of support ("accompagnement") in vocational training, starting from its etymological and semantic roots to analyze its different dimensions, objectives, and practices. It highlights the complexity of the support relationship, the tensions between institutional requirements and learner autonomy, as well as the postures that facilitators must adopt. The article also presents an overview of the different models and forms of support, ranging from tutoring to mentoring via coaching and counseling, highlighting their specificities and complementarities. In conclusion, it emphasizes the importance of support as a transformative process that promotes the autonomy, responsibility, and socialization of learners.
