Description
This policy brief, developed by the European Citizen Science (ECS) Project, explores strategies to strengthen support for citizen science initiatives in Spain. It provides an overview of the current landscape, identifies key challenges, and proposes policy solutions to enhance citizen science at the national level. Informed by a co-creation workshop that brought together 4-H stakeholders, the brief reflects a collaborative effort to shape its findings. Grounded in a backcasting planning approach, it offers a strategic and forward-looking perspective. Ultimately, it serves as a roadmap for integrating citizen science into Spain’s innovation ecosystem, fostering greater collaboration and sustained policy support.
