Presentation Workshop: Understanding The Contributions Of Citizen Science.

This workshop aims to equip participants with a comprehensive understanding of the role of citizen science in research and society. By the end of the session, participants should be able to identify key contributions of citizen science to research objectives and illustrate these with examples across various scientific fields. They will also engage in discussions on the societal impact of citizen science, exploring its role in fostering public engagement and driving change through case studies. Finally, the workshop will help participants connect citizen science with the principles of open and responsible research and innovation (RRI), analyzing their interconnections and the benefits of integrating these approaches. The presentation was prepared as part of a training day of the ASDOST-CitSci project.
