Description

Nowadays information is considered as one of the most valuable assets of every organization. Because of that, there is an increasing number of techniques and methods aimed at the management of the information to ensure correct usage and application. One of the most crucial functions of a successful information valuation rule is the ability to differentiate information by value in an objective manner. A method is required to develop a valuation rule where the value of the information can be easily measured. Such methods are proposed in the literature but we question their applicability in real world environment, consequently there is a discovered need for business-oriented metrics focusing on the dynamics how value is creating. The presented poster summarizes an early stage research where the main goal is to:
- analyze existing metrics used for information valuation
- present our research methodology
- outline the expected next steps during that investigation
