Description
Nerium scandens Lour.
Fl. Cochinch.: 116 (1790).
HOLOTYPE. — Loureiro s.n. (BM), Vietnam (Cochinchina).
MERRILL (1935) and BEENTJE (1982) note that this is a later homonym for Nerium scandens L. However, we can find no evidence that the Linnean name was ever validly published which would mean the LOUREIRO name is not a later homonym.
