Le tecniche di indagine FORS e RAMAN per la caratterizzazione dei materiali costitutivi della Pala di Fano del Perugino

This is a scientific report drawn up to summarize the results of the scientific analyzes carried out on the Pala di Fano on behalf of the OPD. The report explores the use of FORS (Fiber Optics Reflectance Spectroscopy) and Raman spectroscopy to analyze the materials of Pala di Fano by Perugino. The research aims to identify the color palette, binding media, and assess the painting’s conservation state. Non-invasive, portable techniques were employed to ensure the artwork’s integrity. The results confirm the use of traditional Renaissance pigments and provide insights into Perugino’s painting techniques. This study enhances the scientific understanding of the artist’s materials and supports future conservation efforts.
