Description
Telomere-to-telomere nuclear-phased genome assembly and annotations for a Puccinia striiformis f. sp. tritici isolate 104 E137 A- (Pst104E) for our paper "Long-read genomics reveal extensive nuclear-specific evolution and allele-specific expression in a dikaryotic fungus". We used Oxford Nanopore (ONT) duplex sequencing combined with Hi-C to generate the genome assembly (Pst104E_v3.9.asm.hap*.masked.fasta). Gene prediction and functional annotation procedures were performed using the funannotate pipeline (Johnathan and Jason 2023) supplied with ONT cDNA and Illumina RNA-seq as transcript evidence. Transposable elements were predicted and annotated using the REPET pipeline (Quesneville et al. 2005; Flutre et al. 2011). Please see manuscript for more details.
