Description

The supporting data and utilities from the publication High-throughput computational homogenization of porous materials produced by selective laser sintering: a diffuse-interface–based workflow [Comput. Mech. (2025)] are recorded in this dataset.

High-fidelity phase-field simulations of selective sintering of SS316L material were conducted to analyze microstructure evolution under varying process parameters. Diffuse-interface-based computational homogenization was subsequently applied to evaluate the effective elastic properties of the porous microstructures. Various interpolation schemes for local mechanical properties across interfaces were examined. Batched elasticity homogenizations of SLS-processed four-layer porous structures were performed within a defined processing window, providing data for establishing process-microstructure-property relationships using regression models.

The simulated SLS-processed four-layer mesostructures for all the process parameter sets (hereby refered as P-v sets) are curated in this dataset. The raw temporal data obtained from the processing simulations and the elasto-plastic could not be included in this dataset due to its high volume. However, the corresponding raw data can be requested by contacting the creators of this dataset (Yangyiwei Yang: yangyiwei.yang@mfm.tu-darmstadt.de).

There are another 16 P-v sets simulated with the same materials, powder beds, and process conditions, which are curated in 10.5281/zenodo.10940625.

This dataset includes:

homogenized_properties.csv: Contains homogenized elastic properties (such as bulk & shear moduli, Youngs modulus, and Poissons ratio) of processed mesostructures of all the process parameter sets.

- mesostructures_sls.zip: Contains resampled mesostructures obtained at the last time step of the SLS processing simulations for the P-v sets reported in the aforementioned investigation. Mesostructures are named as: `sls_<beam power>-<scan speed>.e`.
