Magnetic Spectra for Density Scale analysis in Martian Ionosphere.
Description
The processed data is relevant to the manuscript “Spatial Scales of Electron Density Fluctuations in Martian Ionosphere” by Prathmesh et al., 2025. This repository consists of the Martian ionospheric ambient parameters averaged for a 3-minute iterative window with a 2-minute overlap obtained from MAVEN’s ionospheric passes below 400 km. Each ionospheric pass provides about 16-17 ambient ionospheric values, distinct in latitude, longitude, altitude, and local time. This processed data is based on the electron density measurements by Langmuir Probe and Wave (LPW), magnetic field observations by fluxgate magnetometer (MAG), and derived key parameters from the MAVEN spacecraft for the period of 2014-2023. The original raw high-resolution data is available at https://pds-ppi.igpp.ucla.edu.
The detailed description of the dataset parameters is given in the 'Description.pdf' file.
