Description
Progressive poetess, human rights activist and authoress
Femida Riaz was born in July 1945 in Meerath (India). Her
Father Riazuddin was transferred to Haiderabad Sindh
(Pakistan) and he settled there permanently. She le arnt
Urdu, Persian, Sindhi and Hindi languages. She wrote more
than 15 books on various topics. She translated Iranian
poetess Farogh Farrokhzad's selected poetry under the title
of 'Khuly Darichay' and Maulana Rumi's Persian Divan
under the title of 'Khana-e-Aab-o-Gil'. The articlecovers
both of Fehmida's translated books.
