Understanding change in uptake of agri-environmental practices in Scotland: Evidence from the Farmer Intentions Survey 2023
Creators
Description
This policy brief investigates reported past and intended future changes to agri-environmental practices. Specifically, it asks 'who is increasing agri-environmental activity and who is not?', looking at reported changes made in the past 5 years and intended changes in the next 5 years. The analysis explores differences according to socio-demographic characteristics, farm-level characteristics and types of supports and interventions. These include agri-environmental payments, engagement with farmer networks/ groups, and agronomic advice from different sources.
