Description

In this study, we explore the potential directions towards the sustainable utilization of biochar in Serbia with reference to the current state of energy production and consumption in different sectors of the country’s economy. Among other topics, particular attention is given to the application of biochar in water and wastewater treatment. Our findings shed light on a relationship between certain properties of biochar produced from different biomass sources originated from Serbia and its potential utilization.

This research advances our understanding of the valorization of waste biomass for biochar production and provides insights that could contribute to meaningful progress in its potential future applications in Serbia, aligning with broader sustainability goals.
