Description

Global daily IFS-COMPO atmospheric compossition model simulations (Huijnen et al., 2019; https://doi.org/10.5194/gmd-12-1725-2019) of carbon monoxide total columns (CO-TC) for August and September 2024. IFS-COMPO model resolution is 0.5 degrees. Model CO-TCs are collocated with Sentinel-5p CO-TCs which are resampled and averaged onto the IFS-COMPO model grid provided that at least 50% of the model grid is covered by Sentinel-5p CO-TC data (Douros et al., 2023; https://doi.org/10.5194/GMD-16-509-2023). Files include IFS-COMPO CO-TCs with and without applying the Sentinel-5p CO averaging kernel, the associated resampled and averaged Sentinel-5p CO-TCs and the differences between IFS-COMPO CO-TC (with averaging kernel) and Sentinel-5p CO-TC (data array names: model_kernel, model_ref, retrieval, retrieval_min_model_kernel).

Note that GFA and TUD emission data can be found at www.sense4fire.eu, GFAS emission data via the COPERNICUS Data Store https://ads.atmosphere.copernicus.eu/datasets/cams-global-fire-emissions-gfas
