Snow and sea ice thickness derived from measurements of SIMBA and DTC buoys during MOSAiC expedition between March and July 2020

This data collection, assembled as part of the INTERAAC project, combines a total of 18 Snow and Ice Mass Balance Array (SIMBA; Jackson et al., 2013) and Digital Thermistor Chain (DTC; Salganik et al., 2023) buoys deployed in the Arctic Ocean during the MOSAiC expedition from 2019 to 2020. Using a manual classification method, the SIMBA and DTC were processed to obtain snow and ice thickness, as well as snow, ice surface, and bottom meltwater equivalents from 21 Mar 2020 to 28 Jul 2020.
