Simulations of the CNCB model for the analysis of confidence ratings data

Description

The files in this record are generating simulations of the CNCB (Confidence Noise, Confidence Boost) model of confidence ratings data typically obtained in a perceptual psychophysical experiment. These simulations are part of a manuscript to be published.

The matlab file 'cncb_ms_sim' generates simulations across the different parameters of the model. The sister file 'cncb_ms_fig' generates figures of these simulations.

The matlab file 'cncb_model_recov_sim' generates simulations for a model recovery analysis that contrasts a model without the confidence boost parameter (Model 1) and a model with confidence boost parameter (Model 2). The sister file 'cncb_model_recov_fig' generates figures of these simulations.

Because these simulations take quite some time to be produced, the folder 'simul_data' contains the simulations that were used for the manuscript.
