Swiss SolarWind Explorer

Description

The Swiss SolarWind Explorer is an interactive geospatial tool developed by ETH Zurich (Planning of Landscapes and Urban Systems, PLUS) as part of the Joint Initiative SPEED2ZERO. It allows users to overlay geospatial data and create customized maps for renewable energy planning, focusing on solar and wind potential in Switzerland. The tool combines scientific datasets and user-defined criteria to provide a discussion basis for identifying suitable areas for renewable energy projects. Developed with contributions from SCNAT and supported by EU projects MOSAIC and SELINA, the tool emphasizes open access and transparency in renewable energy planning.
