Description
Philosophers, sociologists, and oral historians at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Faculty of Humanities, University of Latvia, have analysed the issues related to the challenges to European culture in their works. From their perspective, solutions to these challenges often require re-evaluating values, beliefs, and practices. This remains a discourse about freedom and responsibility. Within European culture, we find both the roots of current challenges and the resources for addressing them. This collection of essays aims to encourage a return to the cultural heritage of Europe and Latvia, reinterpreting it creatively in the context of contemporary realities.
