REVIEW AND PROSPECT OF THE CHINESE VOCAL MUSIC EDUCATION SYSTEM

The purpose of vocal music education is to utilize vocal music to enhance the musical literacy of the entire population, inherit and develop China's vocal music culture, and promote Chinese vocal music to the world. This article reviews and summarizes the development of vocal music education over the past century, illustrating the close relationship between vocal music and culture. From the perspectives of the universality and sociality of vocal music, the article analyzes the current status of domestic vocal music education, highlighting the issue of the opposition between vocal music technique and musical culture. The root of this problem lies in several key aspects: educational concepts, teacher team construction, training objectives, and basic theories. To put vocal music education on a scientific and standardized track, it is necessary to leverage the joint efforts of professional colleges and normal universities. The article takes the shift in vocal music education concept that vocal music is not a technique but a culture as a clue, demonstrating the interdependent relationship between professional technique and musical culture, as well as the unified and inherited pyramid-like interdependence between basic and professional vocal music education. The realization of the ideal of vocal music education depends on the soundness of the educational system and the construction of basic theories.
