Description

The data set contains the results of the hydrogenation of magnesium-lithium alloys with different chemical and phase compositions. The reaction was carried out using a Sievert-type sorption analyzer. The entire experiment was described in the submitted article (reference will be provided after acceptance).

The data set consists of raw data and processed data.

X-ray phase analysis was performed using a Rigaku Ultima IV diffractometer. The diffractometer was equipped with a cobalt anode lamp, a parallel-beam geometry, cross-beam optics (CBO),and a fast linear counter (Detex Ultra).

- XRD patterns - after the process of obtaining alloys from the Mg-Li system (melting and casting). The results clearly indicate a different phase structure of the alloys depending on the lithium content, the obtained results are consistent with the phase equilibrium system.

- XRD patterns - after the hydrogenation process (heating under this gas). The results of phase analysis indicate the presence of magnesium hydride and, for alloys with a higher lithium content, lithium hydride.

The kinetics of the hydrogenation process of the manufactured alloys were carried out via a Sievert-type apparatus. The alloys were heated under hydrogen pressure at a temperature of 290 deg.

-hydrogen absorption curves for all alloys produced

-absorption curve for the sample with the highest lithium content - partially hydrogenated

Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) with Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) were simultaneously examined using the Sensys Evo 3D analyzer (Setaram).

-TGA curves repeated three times for each sample

-DSC curves repeated three times for each sample
