Description

This Demand Starter Data Kit contains data on population (total, urban, rural, growth), GCP (total, agriculture, construction, mining, manufacturing, services, energy, growth), county and national energy balances, energy intensities and electrification rates. This ‘starter kit’ of data aims to act as a starting point for teaching, capacity building efforts, and for further data collection, model development and scenario analysis to produce county resolution demand projections.

Counties included: Baringo, Bomet, Bungoma, Busia, Elgeyo-Marakwet, Embu, Garissa, Homa Bay, Isiolo, Kajiado, Kakamega, Kericho, Kiambu, Kilifi, Kirinyaga, Kisii, Kisumu, Kitui, Kwale, Laikipia, Lamu, Machakos, Makueni, Mandera, Marsabit, Meru, Migori, Mombasa, Murang’a, Nairobi City, Nakuru, Nandi, Narok, Nyamira, Nyandarua, Nyeri, Samburu, Siaya, Taita-Taveta, Tana River, Tharaka-Nithi, Trans Nzoia, Turkana, Uasin Gishu, Vihiga, Wajir, West Pokot.
