Description
The Tamil literature has followed a traditional grammatical system. It describes the method of composing the book, the beginning of the book and the nature of the book. Among them, the Padika tradition and the Payira tradition are noteworthy. One of the oldest classical literatures of the Tamil language is the singing of songs about a single subject in a single verse called Pathika. During the Sangam period, the Pathika system can be seen in the Pathitruppattu and Aingurunutra. As a stage of its development, Karaikkal Ammaiyarelangattu composed the book called Vuththira Thirupatipikam for the first time. Bhavanandiyar, as the tradition of Payira, states that although the Pathika system appeared in the Sangam period, it gained special influence in Tamil only after the emergence of the Alvars and Nayanmars.
