Study of numerical algorithm used to solve the equation of motion for the planar flexural forced vibration of the cantilever beam

Description

This paper develops the numerical algorithm used to solve the equation of motion for the planar flexural forced vibration of the cantilever beam. The partial diffe rential equation is first discretized in the spatia l coordinate using Galer kin's weighted residual method. Newmark technique and a numerical algorithm is used to calculate the nonlin ear response of the beam.
