Summary of workshop "Open-Earth-Monitor" 2023

The first edition of the Open-Earth-Monitor Global Workshop “Connecting open EO solutions to
boost European and global goals” took place between 4th and 6th October, 2023 in Bolzano,
Italy. With more than 150 participants from organizations pertaining to several EU research
institutions, EU agencies, members of the industry and academics; the event reunited some of
the most renowned scientists and stakeholders across Europe and the world in the EO field.

 In summary, this document provides an overview of some of the most relevant presentations in
regards the aforementioned topics but also points out the main takeaways that connect the
general mission and aims of the OEMC project with the valuable insights shared by the
community of stakeholders that gathered in this first edition. Moreover, this document aims at
serving as a roadmap for the upcoming editions and stresses the importance of networking,
knowledge transfer and collaboration among the interested parties.
